Measured by CryptoNakta from Binance spot data at 02:58 UTC, Nov 8 (9:58 p.m. ET, Nov 7). The 24-hour window covers all of Saturday in U.S. time.
Bitcoin was at $75,770 at our Sunday check, down 0.4% over 24 hours. Ether was at $2,235, down 0.6%. Of the big coins in the table, only TRON was higher.
Trading got even thinner. We again pulled every coin on Binance with more than $20 million in 24-hour volume against USDT. We left out stablecoins, gold tokens and stock tokens. Nine coins cleared that bar. On Saturday the same check found 14.
Seven of the nine were down. Zcash (ZEC) fell the most, 7.6%. Harmony (ONE) rose 12.4% and Uniswap (UNI) 2.4%. Both ONE and ZEC are covered further down.
The Fear & Greed Index read 28 on Sunday. That is back in the “Fear” band, one step up from Saturday’s 25, which was “Extreme Fear.”
The whole crypto market is worth about $2.56 trillion, according to CoinGecko. Our check a day earlier showed $2.58 trillion. Bitcoin makes up 59.3% of it.
Bitcoin’s slowest day since August, and a fifth weekly loss in sight
| Coin | Week open (Mon) | Week high | Week low | At 03:04 UTC Sun | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | 78,354.01 | 81,196.01 (Nov 4) | 74,888.00 (Nov 6) | 75,853.07 | −3.19% |
| Ether | 2,275.30 | 2,450.00 (Nov 4) | 2,206.28 (Nov 5) | 2,239.02 | −1.59% |
CryptoNakta calculation from Binance BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT daily and weekly candles, pulled at 03:04 UTC, Nov 8. The week closes Sunday at 23:59 UTC.
Saturday was the slowest day for bitcoin in almost three months. On Binance it moved between $75,571 and $76,250 all day (UTC), a range of 0.9%. BTC/USDT traded about $396 million that day. That is the smallest daily total since Aug. 16.
The week itself was not quiet. Bitcoin started Monday at $78,354 and reached $81,196 on Wednesday. Two days later it touched $74,888, the low of the week. It is down 3.2% for the week with less than a day to go.
If it stays below $78,354 at the Sunday close, it will be bitcoin’s fifth weekly loss in a row on Binance. Ether is down 1.6% for the week and would need to get back above $2,275.30 to break the same streak. Our Saturday briefing has the four weeks before this one.
Harmony (ONE) up 12% again, Zcash falls 7.6% after its NU7 upgrade
Harmony’s ONE rose another 12.4% over 24 hours at our check, to $0.001945. It traded $44.3 million on Binance in that time, almost twice Saturday’s $23.2 million. Our check a day earlier had it up 69.3%.
We still found no confirmed reason for the run. There is one fixed date ahead. Harmony will close its block explorer, explorer.harmony.one, on Nov. 18, TokenPost reported in October. Records from before 2025 have to be exported before then. This is part of Harmony’s plan to move the ONE token to Ethereum.
On Binance, ONE withdrawals showed as closed on both the Harmony and the Ethereum networks at our Sunday check.
Zcash went the other way. ZEC fell 7.6% to $1,247.61 on $130.5 million in volume. It had gained 3.8% the day before.
The drop came two days after the network’s NU7 upgrade. NU7 went live at block 3,543,405 at 02:34 UTC on Nov. 6, TokenPost reported. It cut the target time between blocks from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. It also sends 60% of transaction fees toward future block rewards and network support.
TokenPost counted $4.13 million in long positions and about $602,000 in short positions closed out by force in the 24 hours through Saturday afternoon, U.S. time. ZEC withdrawals on the Zcash network showed as open on Binance at our check.

Bitcoin ETF daily figures: TFTC tracker. Ether ETF daily figures: SoSoValue data via TokenPost. Weekly totals: The Block.
Friday’s numbers came in after our last issue. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs lost a net $411.9 million. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $403 million of that, per TFTC. Fidelity’s FBTC was the only fund with money coming in, $42.8 million.
For the full week the funds lost $1.28 billion. The Block called it the worst week since late June. It was also the second losing week in a row.
Bitcoin ETF flows for 2026 are now about −$914 million, according to The Block’s count of SoSoValue data. At the start of the week the year was about +$368 million.
Spot ether ETFs lost $93.2 million on Friday. BlackRock’s ETHA made up $90.8 million of that. Their weekly loss of $365.3 million was the sixth in a row, The Block said.
Smaller funds lost money too. Solana ETFs lost $26.3 million over the week and Hyperliquid ETFs $15.6 million, per The Block. Solana ETFs are still up about $676 million for the year.
If you are weighing an ETF against holding the coins yourself, our ETF vs. bitcoin guide runs the numbers over a full year, fees included.
Stablecoin supply drops $6.66 billion, the sharpest week of 2026

The total supply of stablecoins fell $6.66 billion in the seven days to Nov. 7, to $292.31 billion. Blockchain Reporter, working from DefiLlama data, called it the sharpest weekly drop of 2026.
Tether’s USDT and Circle’s USDC made up $4.40 billion of the fall, about two thirds. Supply goes down when issuers take back more tokens for dollars than they hand out. The figures alone do not show who redeemed or why.
For how redemption works at each issuer, see our USDT vs. USDC guide.
Binance: no Recovery Update #10 yet, HYPE, NEAR and LTC still closed on their own networks
Binance had not posted a Recovery Update #10 by our check at 02:59 UTC on Sunday. The latest is still #9, from Friday.
Six tokens are still waiting for their main withdrawal routes: HYPE, INJ, APT, Plasma (XPL), NEAR and LTC. Binance CEO Richard Teng said the exchange is working to reopen them by the end of next week, The Coin Republic reported on Saturday. No exact day or hour was given.
We checked Binance’s public deposit and withdrawal settings at 02:59 UTC on Sunday.

Most of these closed routes carried a “wallet maintenance” notice. HYPE’s said the wallet has technical issues. Our Binance maintenance guide explains what those notices mean for your funds.
One change from Saturday stands out. USDC withdrawals on Optimism and Avalanche were open in our Saturday check. On Sunday both showed as closed, with a note that Binance is refilling its hot wallet. ETH on Optimism, EUL and MMT on BSC, and AXL on Base had the same note.
Several of the waiting coins can still leave Binance as BEP-20 tokens on BSC. That only helps if the wallet or exchange on the other end accepts that network. Our wrong network guide shows what happens when the two sides do not match.
Deposits stayed open on almost every route we checked. For how the pause began on Oct. 29, see our Binance hack guide.
Binance names a new CFO, and zero-knowledge reserve checks go live
Binance’s chief financial officer, Kaiser Ng, is stepping down. Co-CEO Yi He announced it in a statement on Saturday, The Block reported. Ng has been CFO since January 2022 and worked at Kraken before that.
Justin Yek replaces him, The Block reported, citing Bloomberg. Yek was most recently vice president of finance at payments company Airwallex.
Yi He said Ng “has decided to pursue a new venture” after more than five years at the company. She said a transition plan had been in place for about six months, according to Reuters as cited by The Block. The statement did not give a departure date.
There was also news on Binance’s reserves. Late Saturday U.S. time, TokenPost reported that Binance had launched zero-knowledge checks for its latest proof-of-reserves snapshot. They let each user confirm that their own balance is backed at least 1:1.
TokenPost tied it to the expanded snapshot from Binance’s Nov. 4 update, which covers 44 tokens. We did not find a separate Binance announcement page for it by our check.
Our proof-of-reserves guide walks through running that check yourself.
Keplr pauses Google and Apple login after unauthorized transactions
Keplr, a widely used wallet for Cosmos-based chains, paused Google and Apple login after users reported transactions they had not made. Accounts created with a recovery phrase or a hardware wallet are not affected, Keplr said.
Keplr blamed a flaw in Web3Auth, the service behind those social logins, that exposed private keys. Web3Auth confirmed a security incident affecting third-party apps on Nov. 6 and paused its embedded wallet service. It said it found no sign that MetaMask users are affected, CryptoTicker reported. Web3Auth has been owned by MetaMask developer Consensys since 2025, per the same report.
Josh Lee is a co-founder of Chainapsis, the company behind Keplr. He estimated that about 20% of social login accounts could be affected, per a Crypto Adventure report cited by CryptoTicker. Only some of those were actually drained. Neither company has given a loss figure.
Some accounts may now show a “reduced or empty balance” for another reason. Web3Auth said it and its partners began moving funds out of vulnerable wallets that had not been hit yet, cryptonews.net reported. Web3Auth is preparing a verified list of recovery addresses. Both teams told users to ignore direct messages or links that offer recovery help.
Keplr’s advice: if your account uses Google or Apple login, stop sending funds to it. Move any liquid assets to an account backed by a recovery phrase or a hardware wallet. Staked and locked assets will take longer to recover. Our hardware wallet guide covers what that kind of wallet protects against and what it does not.
Gnosis Pay breach exposes card numbers and home addresses
Gnosis Pay, a crypto debit card service, has told users that an intruder got into its systems, CoinDesk reported on Saturday. The exposed details include home addresses, card numbers and the crypto wallet addresses linked to each account.
The company found the intrusion on Nov. 3 and started containing it within two hours. It said customer funds were not affected. It did not say how many users were hit. Each affected user got an email listing what was exposed.
Gnosis Pay replaced the affected security credentials and fixed the flaw. It also made 3D Secure checks mandatory for online card payments and stepped up fraud monitoring. Its branded cards are set to shut down on Dec. 20 as already planned.
The company warned that scammers could use the stolen details to make fake messages look real. If an email about your account asks you to click a link or move funds, check it before you act. Our anti-phishing code guide shows one way exchanges let you tell real emails from fake ones.
Chainalysis brings Reactor and KYT back online after its breach
Chainalysis said on Saturday that Reactor, KYT and Address Screening are back online. Exchanges and investigators use these tools to trace crypto and screen transactions.
The blockchain analysis firm first disclosed the breach on Oct. 30. At that point it said only names, emails and similar data had been accessed. By Nov. 4 it said names, usernames, password hashes and “live tokens” for all its users had been exposed. It took several products offline along the way.
Saturday’s update, posted at 1:50 p.m. ET, said the products were restored “with enhanced security measures.” Customers have to reconnect by following emailed instructions. An earlier update said they must also reset passwords and rotate API keys.
Chainalysis has said it found no evidence that investigation data was accessed or that its attribution data was changed. It said on Oct. 30 that the incident is not related to the Binance theft. Saturday’s update did not mention Data Solutions, which was still offline on Nov. 6.
Gopax still halted, no bitcoin trades since Friday afternoon
South Korean exchange Gopax has had trading and online withdrawals halted since Friday, after it received an email threatening a hack. Deposits and standard withdrawals stopped at 2:55 p.m. local time (05:55 UTC) on Nov. 6, and trading at 3:53 p.m. (06:53 UTC), crypto.news reported. All open orders were canceled.
We checked Gopax’s public trade data at 03:06 UTC on Sunday. The last bitcoin trade against the Korean won was at 06:09 UTC on Friday. Nothing has traded since.
A company representative said no hacking had taken place at the time. Gopax is moving customer assets from online hot wallets to offline cold wallets. Customers can still ask for a withdrawal through customer support, but each request is checked by hand and may take longer. Gopax has not said when service will resume.
For how other exchanges have handled hacks and halts, see our exchange hack record.
Ethereum puts off Glamsterdam testnet upgrade over eight contract risks
Ethereum core developers have put off the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi test network, crypto.news reported on Nov. 6. No new date has been set.
Security firm ChainSecurity found eight ways that existing smart contracts could break. The cause is two proposals, EIP-8037 and EIP-8038. They change how much gas it costs to create and read data on the chain. Some contracts assume fixed gas costs, or a certain amount of gas left after a failed step.
Developers asked contract teams and auditors to review their code and report problems before the next core developer calls. That includes wallets and other services with hardcoded gas limits. Work on the upgrade after this one, Hegotá, is going ahead as planned.
The week ahead: CPI without a yearly rate, Fed hike odds near 77%
- Tonight, 23:59 UTC: bitcoin’s weekly close on Binance. Below $78,354 means a fifth losing week in a row.
- Tuesday, Nov. 10, 8:30 a.m. ET: October consumer prices (CPI).
- By the end of the week: Binance’s target for reopening HYPE, INJ, APT, XPL, NEAR and LTC withdrawals.
- Nov. 18: Harmony’s block explorer closes.
- Dec. 8 and 9: the Fed’s next rate meeting.
Tuesday’s CPI report will look different. It will not include the usual yearly inflation rate for overall or core prices. The Bureau of Labor Statistics could not collect October 2025 prices during last year’s government shutdown. That leaves it with no base month to compare with, Stock Titan explained. Monthly changes will still come out. RBC Economics expects a 0.3% rise for both overall and core prices.
It is the last CPI report before the Fed meets. After Friday’s jobs report, CME FedWatch put the chance of a quarter-point hike in December at 76.8%, up from 66.9% a week earlier, 24/7 Wall St. reported. The Fed’s target range is now 3.75% to 4.00%.
